The Sprouting of a Dream
My grandmother was skilled in many handicrafts: making shoe soles, crafting cloth shoes, embroidering… However, what impressed me most was that old sewing machine that would creak. When working at the sewing table, my grandmother looked exceptionally calm and beautiful.
As a child, I often lingered around my grandmother’s sewing machine. Watching colorful threads shuttling through the fabric and seeing pieces of clothing gradually take shape, I was filled with a longing for the work as a tailor. At that time, I dreamed of becoming a little tailor. I would often take some old fabrics and imitate my grandmother to sew simple garments. Although the finished products were not perfect, the sense of accomplishment and joy I felt were unparalleled.
The Continuation of the Dream
When I grew up, I didn’t give up my love for sewing. Instead, I integrated it into my life. Through work, I learned about the huge potential and demand in the children’s clothing market. I found that many children’s clothes on the market were either too monotonous in style, lacking in novelty and personality; or the fabrics were not soft and comfortable enough, easily causing itchy to children; or there were potential safety hazards…
After I had my own child, I watched my child grow up day by day, and the demand for clothes kept changing. Parents continuously pay attention to the quality and size of children’s clothing. When children are old enough to start choosing their outfits, they will become involved in selecting the colors and styles of children’s clothing. Considering all these factors, I have always developed products from the user’s perspective in my future work.
The Dilemmas of the Dream
Thus, in 2010, I resolutely embarked on the path of entrepreneurship and established GuangZhou Happy Credit Apparel Company We have been specializing in children’s clothing production for 14 years now.
Procurement, pattern making, quality inspection, logistics… Entrepreneurship is no an easy task. Therefore, I can deeply understand my partners, and I will do my best to help my children’s clothing partners when they are in trouble. During the toughest times of the company, I thought about giving up. However, the encouragement from my family and the perseverance of my team often reminded me of the peaceful moments when I sat beside my grandmother at the sewing machine.
Therefore, no matter how many twists and turns there have been, I still don’t regret my decision.
